TELETOON is a basic cable channel in Canada. The programming is strictly animation (their license dictates that 90% of their content be animated), and has to obey CRTC rules on Canadian content (over 60% of their programming must be Canadian). They are owned by Canada's Astral Media (40%), Corus Entertainment (40%), and Cookie Jar Entertainment (20%). English and French language versions of Teletoon are available in different parts of Canada. Télétoon (the French version) carries some programs that the English counterpart does not, namely French-dubbed versions of popular programs that are available in English on other networks.

They have co-produced a number of shows with American networks such as MTV.
