Teletoon is a basic cable channel in Canada. The programming is strictly animation (their license dictates that 90% of their content be animated), and has to obey Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission rules on Canadian content (over 60% of their programming must be Canadian). The channel is owned by Corus Entertainment. The English and French language versions of Teletoon are available in different parts of Canada. Télétoon (the French version) carries some programs that the English counterpart does not, namely French-dubbed versions of popular programs that are available in English on other networks.
They have co-produced a number of shows with American networks such as MTV.
