Recap

11 teams set out from Los Angeles and raced for $1,000,000. Navigational woes started too soon. In Ireland, Ari & Staella mistakenly stole Ronald & Christina’s cab. Nathan & Jennifer bickered over Jennifer's pace. Lorena protested to Jason who went the wrong direction. But Jason wouldn’t listen. Teams had a high wire act at the Roadblock, while stubborn donkeys held back Nathan & Jennifer and Ari & Staella. Siblings Azaria & Hendekea arrived at the pit stop first and Ari & Staella were the first team to be eliminated.

In the next leg, Ron confronted Nicolas about being rude. But Christina held him back. Then in Amsterdam, TK had problems with the knots. Ron’s incessant nagging brought Christina to tears. At the Roadblock, Donald goes Tarzan. Because they took a long time at the Detour, Kate & Pat missed the bus and were eliminated.

Before the third leg began, Ron required medical attention for his hernia. Then teams flew to Burkina Faso where ill-tempered camels brought Lorena to tears and aggravated Julia. Azaria & Hendekea’s skills among Africa brought them to first place. Marianna & Julia took a long time at the Detour and in a footrace with Lornea & Jason, they were eliminated.

In the next leg, teams tries to work their dancing skills. Ron & Christina and Nathan & Jennifer didn’t show creativity and earned a 10-minute penalty. Azaria & Hendekea’s African skills impressed the judges. But it was Kynt & Vyxsin who put on a master dance class that delighted the crowd and the judges. Teams then face a new twist. Shana & Jennifer made a controversial decision to U-Turn Lorena & Jason. Vyxsin broke down seeing the African culture. In a tight footrace to the pit stop, Azaria & Hendekea claimed first place by a matter of inches ahead of Nate & Jen. While being U-Turned, Lorena & Jason fell further behind and couldn’t make up lost time from the previous leg and were eliminated.

In the next leg, teams scramble for tickets to Lithuania. Shana’s behavior aggravated Jennifer and the blondes clashed. In Lithuania, Nate & Jen took a wrong turn. Shana & Jennifer fared the worst. At the Roadblock, Nick got lost. At the Detour, Ron took a nasty tumble, while Nate & Jen’s relationship brought to a tension. But Shana & Jennifer had problems communicating with each other and were eliminated.

In the next leg, Azaria & Hendekea received a nasty blow and were stranded briefly in Lithuania. Then in Croatia, Ron & Christina finally got teamwork and claimed first place while Nate & Jen’s cooperation tear apart. They were even rejected by some taxi drivers who see them being wet. They were forced to take an illegal form of transportation and lost valuable time. But Azaria & Hendekea couldn’t recover from their ticketing mistake and were eliminated.

In the next leg, teams took a ferry to Italy where TK & Rachel mistakenly left their clue at a local restaurant, but caught up with Nate & Jen when the other teams got caught in a traffic. Ron & Christina took a new route, Nick & Don waited for the road to reopen and Kynt & Vyxsin went the wrong direction. At the Roadblock, TK floundered. Nick & Don went for the Fast Forward and Don got nervous, but the grandson and grandfather completed the task and finally landed first. Kynt & Vyxsin had a meltdown and their car broke down. Nate & Jen’s good sense of teamwork brought them to second place. Kynt & Vyxsin couldn’t recover and arrived last, but were not eliminated. They even earned a new twist.

In the next leg, Kynt & Vyxsin tricked TK & Rachel at the airport. In India, Nate & Jen grew frustrated with newspapers and flowers. Ron returned to his old self upsetting Christina. But Kynt & Vyxsin performed a Speed Bump which they earned for coming in last in a non-elimination leg. And after mistakenly using the U-Turn on Nick & Don who were actually ahead of them, they sustained another blow when Kynt misread his clue at the Roadblock resulting in an emotional farewell.

In the next leg, TK & Rachel made a major mistake by taking a longer flight to Osaka, Japan. In Osaka, Don becomes fatigued. Driving a cab doesn't seem easy for the three teams. Nate & Jen remained in front after the Detour, but had trouble finding the cab who knows the location of the pit stop giving Ron & Christina first place once again. TK & Rachel couldn't overcome their mistake at the airport and arrived last, but were not eliminated and had to face a Speed Bump in the upcoming leg.

In the next leg, Ron & Christina convinced an airline employee not to sell tickets to the other teams. Then in Taipei, their Asian language skills pushed them to first place, making them the first parent/child team to enter the final three. In the back of the pack, TK & Rachel performed a Speed Bump, but it didn't stop them from catching up. While Nate & Jen tries to work out for each other on Jen's birthday, Jen made a costly mistake by taking the advice from a local to take a subway instead of the cab, simply rejecting Nate's protests and their relationship began to tear apart. Nick & Don overcame age and fatigue, and survived. Nate & Jen couldn't overcome Jen's careless mistake and were eliminated.

In the final leg of the race, teams flew to Anchorage, Alaska, where Nick misread the clue by forgetting the bag containing the gear for the Detour. Meanwhile, TK & Rachel gets pinched by crabs. At the glacier, Christina had trouble scaling up, but still, the father and daughter held their lead for a long time, until a brainwashing roadblock set Christina back and Rachel got her smarts and the newly dating couple never looked back and became the official winners of The Amazing Race.
