Eleven teams set out from Seattle in a race for $1,000,000. In Bejing, Bilal & Sa'eed arrived last at the Meridian Gate and took the last placard remaining in the slot and received a shocking surprise. Even though the leg wasn't over, they were eliminated in the middle of the leg. Teams worked vigorously scaling the Great Wall of China. Vipul & Arti suffered navigational woes and couldn't recover. They were the second team to be eliminated. Teams then travelled to Mongolia where tensions mounted at the Detour. Kellie & Jamie got lost, and were eliminated. In the next leg, Tom & Terry and Dustin & Kandice feuded at the airport. Then in Vietnam, Tom & Terry made a critical mistake and suffered a 30 minute penalty. But Duke & Lauren got lost searching for a Detour task, and the penalty couldn't save them. In the next leg, Rob & Kimberly feuded while switching taxis and during the Detour task, but they reconciled by taking 1st place. Tom & Terry had trouble paddling and were eliminated. In the next leg, teams travelled to India. Airport woes held David & Mary to the back of the pack and they arrived last, but were not eliminated. Instead, they were marked for elimination. Teams then flew to Kuwait where David & Mary went to the Fast Forward thanks to the sacrifice made by Erwin & Godwin. Dustin & Kandice and Lyn & Karlyn feuded. David & Mary grabbed the Fast Forward and didn't earn a penalty. Tyler & James had problems with navigations. But it was Peter & Sarah who was hopelessly lost and they never recovered and were eliminated. Teams then travelled to Mauritius where Rob & Kimberly clashed again. Dustin & Kandice wisely made the correct Detour task while the other teams grew frustrated at the other task including David & Mary who are marked for elimination again. Teams then flew to Madagascar where they discovered a twist. Three pairs of two teams had to complete only one task before furthur notice. Rob & Kimberly and Tyler & James each grabbed the Fast Forward. David & Mary were unable to arrive in 1st and recieved a 30 minute penalty and Lyn & Karlyn survived and David & Mary were eliminated. Teams then flew to Finland where Tyler & James leaped ahead and Rob & Kimberly fell behind. Then teams took a flight to Ukraine where navigational woes plagued Lyn & Karlyn and Erwin & Godwin. Having gotten worried, Lyn & Karlyn left the brothers behind and survived a scare and the Chos had an emotional farewell. In the next leg, teams flew to Morocco where Dustin & Kandice yielded Lyn & Karlyn. But the beauty queens missed the detour task and are marked for elimination. Teams then travelled to Barcelona, where the tomato throwing detour task angered Kimberly. But the couple landed 1st. Lyn & Karlyn made history as the first female team to enter the final three. A detour task that involved carrying a giant proved difficult for Dustin & Kandice to navigate and the beauty queens were eliminated. Teams began the final leg and flew to Paris. After completing the Roadblock and Detour tasks, Lyn & Karlyn made a fatal error when they went to the wrong airport and fell behind, while Tyler & James miraculously got on the flight to New York with Rob & Kimberly. Tyler & James pulled ahead when their taxi driver has an E-Z pass through the tollbooth while Rob & Kimberly's cab driver did not. In the end, Tyler & James raced to the finish line at the Saint Basil's Academy and became the official winners of The Amazing Race.
