Roger Cross is a Jamaican/Canadian actor best known for his role as Curtis Manning on 24.

Biography

Roger Cross was born on October 19, 1966 in Christiana, Jamaica to Deloris and Selvin Cross. At the age of eleven, his family moved with his two brothers Anthony and Gary and his two sisters Donna and Angela to Vancouver, British Columbia. After he graduated with honors from Burnaby Central High School, he attended Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia to study his first love, aviation. He had enjoyed acting even in high school, but it was not until he took some extra and stunt work to make money in college that he thought of it as a career.

He pursued this new career with classes at Breck Academy in Surrey, British Columbia. His first major acting work was in the film The International Rescue. Cross found the experience to be both challenging (due in no small part to conflicts with a castmate and a bout of food poisoning) and exciting, and he pursued acting full-time afterwards. Thanks to Vancouver's film and television industry, he landed dozens of roles before he was cast in the one which would make him famous as Curtis Manning on 24. He splits his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles.
