Dean Stockwell is an American actor who was one of the biggest child stars in Hollywood throughout the 1940s with appearances in the Gene Kelly/Frank Sinatra musical Anchors Aweigh, in the Thin Man movies and in the 1947 Academy Award winner for Best Picture, Gentleman's Agreement. As an adult, he found success in films and on television as "The Observer" Al Calavicci on the sci-fi classic Quantum Leap and with notable recurring roles on such TV shows as Battlestar Galactica and JAG.
