Season Ten of Wheel of Fortune premiered on September 7, 1992.

They got another new version of the theme, which had a grungier sound to it.
Charlie's opening announcement changed again.
The backdrops were replaced again, this time they had sunburst shapes that had W's on them. The diamond shaped backdrops were once again used only for road shows.
A month into the new season, they got a new "WHEEL" stand in the bonus round, replacing the old one. The new one dings when a contestant draws an envelope. Later on this season, they got a new ding sound effect.
They got a new wedge that says "Surprise" on it. When a contestant landed on it, they would win whatever the surprise was if they solved the puzzle without landing on a Bankrupt.
The 1989-1992 theme was used for the closing credits in 1993 of this season.
