Batman: The Animated Series (known as The Adventures of Batman & Robin during season three) is an animated series based on the Batman comics created by Bob Kane. The show led the way for several animated DC shows, eg. Batman Beyond, Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited.

In 1997, the series was given a continuation on Kids WB: The New Batman Adventures.
