Batman

Batman is a superhero created by Bob Kane in 1939. As a child, Bruce Wayne witnessed the murder of his parents at the hands of a street thug. From this experience, he gains a resolute determination to ensure that it does not happen to anyone else, and so trains to become the perfect fighter and strategist, protecting the streets of Gotham City from criminals and supervillains. He is one of the most popular superheroes, and a number of television programs have been produced starring or featuring Batman.
