Shout! Factory is a DVD production company which focuses on releasing music, movies and TV shows that have strong cult followings that other, bigger studios usually pass up. The company was founded by a group of people that used to work at Rhino Entertainment, including Rhino co-founder Richard Foos. Rhino also held the same standards for releases and was first established to reissue old albums and release retrospectives for comedians like Richard Pryor before going on to release cult DVDs for shows like Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Although Shout! Factory has divisions which release music and home video projects, the company's television division is well known for releasing complete series collections of recent shows with cult followings such as Freaks and Geeks and older nostalgia-based shows, especially cartoons, such as Captain N: The Game Master. The company has also releases season sets for classic shows like seasons one and two of McHale's Navy.
