Batfink was a syndicated package of five-minute cartoons by Hal Seeger which capitalized on the Batman craze of the time (the prime time show being a hit).
The hero in this instance is an actual bat with wings "like a shield of steel." He has a supersonic sonar radar which emerges as a "beep" and leads Batfink and his assistant Karate (in their vehicle the Batillac) to the perps. The regularly occuring villain was scientist Hugo A-Go-Go.
Frank Buxton, voice of Batfink, was the host of ABC's game show Get The Message in 1964. Karate's voice, Len Maxwell, would be a key voice on Celebrity Deathmatch.
