KLTV is an ABC affiliate in Tyler/Longview, Texas. The station broadcasts on digital channel 7 displayed to tuners on virtual channel 7 and is owned by Gray Television. The station also operates semi-satellite KTRE channel 9 in Lufkin/Nacogdoches.
KLTV first began in 1954 as an ABC affiliate with secondary affiliations with CBS, NBC, and DuMont. In 1955, the station dropped DuMont, then in 1984, also dropped CBS in favor of KLMG channel 51 signing on the air (now KFXK, a FOX affiliate, CBS is now on KYTX channel 19), then in 1987, also dropped NBC in favor of KETK-TV channel 56 hitting the airwaves.
