KYTX is the CBS affiliate in Tyler/Longview, Texas (licensed to Nacogdoches). It broadcasts on digital channel 18.
KYTX began on September 1, 1991 as a satellite of NBC affiliate KETK-TV/channel 56. Until that time, CBS was avilable on KTVT (then KDFW, now a FOX affiliate) from Dallas/Fort Worth or KSLA-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2004, the station became the CBS affiliate for the Tyler/Longview and the first CBS affiliate in 13 years.
