Although ABC and other networks have long broadcast college football weekly, this marks the first time any have made it an official part of the primetime schedule. ABC focuses its Saturday night broadcast on the biggest and most popular college football teams such as Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Southern California. Brent Musburger hosts as the play by play man on Saturday Night College Football on ABC. Since the 2007 season the show has been called ESPN Saturday Night Football.
