Cartoon Network Studios is an animation production studio in Burbank, California that primarily produces shows to air on Cartoon Network. Originally, shows produced for Cartoon Network were done at the Hanna-Barbera Studios, owned by parent company Time Warner. Due to the further development of original properties for the network, Cartoon Network decided to set up their own facilities, and move their shows out of Hanna-Barbera.

Cartoon Network Studios was founded in 2000, and shows including The Powerpuff Girls, Time Squad, and a few in development were on the way. Around this time, the network began producing more shows out-of-house, so the new studio was a bit empty at first. Nowadays, the studio produces several shows for the network. The studio does not produce its own traditional hand drawn animation, as it is sent overseas to Korea, but it does produce Flash animation for Craig McCracken's Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
