Adventure Time is an animated fantasy that airs on Cartoon Network.
Based on a 2006 short subject that aired on Nickelodeon (by Frederator Studios), the series details the surreal adventures of Finn, a 12-year-old boy with a thirst for adventure, and Jake, a shape-shifting dog. Together they perform Quixotic deeds in the land of Ooo, a land of never-ending places to explore. Among the inhabitants of Ooo are Princess Bubblegum (on whom Finn harbors a crush), Lady Rainicorn, the Ice King, and Lumpy Space Princess.
The short subject received an Annie nomination in 2008. Some voices in the short subject were different than those in the series. Zack Shada was Finn, Paige Moss was Princess Bubblegum, Niki Yang was Lady Rainicorn, and John Kassir was the Ice King.
