Korgoth of Barbaria is an animated action comedy created by Aaron Springer (of Spongebob Squarepants, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and various Spumco productions) as a parody of Conan the Barbarian. The show is set in the distant future where modern civilization has crumbled, primordial beasts have reclaimed the globe and savages populate sparse, dirty towns. Korgoth emerges from the frozen north, and his merciless barbarianism may be his only key to survival.

The pilot episode for the series premiered at a special time on Adult Swim on June 3, 2006 at 12:30AM. The episode was rebroadcast several times over the following two months, but bumps indicated that the series was not going to be picked up. These insinuations were confirmed during the 2007 upfronts when Korgoth was not picked up for a full series.
