- The character was named dropped throughout the season but didn't appear until the very end. It was built up to the point that only the most talented of actors could pull it off and well they hit the gold mine with McDowell. It's hard to imagine anyone else playing the part and even though he only appeared in three episodes his parts of those episodes are the most memorable bits. Standing out like that on such a varied show is not easy. --The-jam 21:42, 16 January 2008 (EST)

- Note: I can't write this without spoilers. First, Camargo should be at least considered for his portrayal in every episode up through the final two of the first season, if only because he did what Michael C. Hall as Dexter couldn't - he showed us how completely and thoroughly charming a murderous psychopath could be. With Hall's performance, we knew from the outset he was a serial killer, so we saw the creepiness in what he did (although we were attracted to it). With Camargo, although we would later learn he was a serial killer, we had no idea when he showed up and seemed to be the man every woman is dying to find on Match.com - successful, funny, polite, sensitive. It was only later that the creepiness in what he was doing would become apparent (and then it made perfect sense, even if it was telegraphed a bit early through no fault of Camargo's). However, if he should be considered for everything leading up to them, he should walk with an easy nomination for his performance in the final two episodes. From the moment Dexter reverts to infancy and whispers, "Biney?" to the moment the relationship between Dexter and "Rudy" is resolved, inevitably violently, the two men's dance of death is one of the most seductive and strangely touching ever portrayed. The result is some of the finest moments in television - and two of the finest performances by actors - of this or any year. -- JCaesartalk 19:53, 17 January 2008 (EST)

- I loved him as Oscar Vibenius, a sewer dweller who starts suspecting Chuck and what she's doing here. He never really figures out what's with Chuck and why she "smells" different, but he's still curious as to her reasons for being here and what it has to do with Ned. -- HuskersRule 16:56, 14 February 2008 (EST)
