Dexter is a crime drama about a forensic scientist who is also a serial killer. Although Dexter only kills people who he believes truly deserve it, criminals who fell through the cracks of the legal system, he is not a vigilante but a psychopath driven to murder. The series is based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay.
