Theodore Jay Jarvis Johnson, better known as T.J., is played by Selwyn Ward. T.J. became the fifth Red Ranger after he and Cassie saved Katherine and Tommy. Later, he would also become the fifth Blue Ranger, after the Turbo powers had been destroyed

- T.J. is the first ranger to be known by their initials. We wouldn't get another until ten years later with R.J..
- T.J. is the second ranger to share a given name with a future ranger-- Theo Martin. The first being Katherine Hillard, who shares her given name with Kat Manx.
