Robert "R.J." James, a martial arts master, is portrayed by David de Lautour. R.J. is a master at the Pai Zhuq academy, living nearby at his pizza parlor, Jungle Karma Pizza. He has the spirit of the wolf and can morph into the Wolf Ranger. R.J. is apparently also a tech expert, building every non-standard weapon in the rangers arsenal-- with the exception of the original three morphers and the Jungle Master upgrade.

- Promotional material, including the official Jetix website, states that R.J. stands for Robert James. However, this has not been said in the show. It is also debated on whether his last name is James, Finn or something entirely different.
- Although not by name, R.J. is technically the first purple ranger. That is, unless you take into account Karone's purple uniform from Dark Specter's Revenge.
