Plot Overview

Dethklok decides to make a movie called Blood Ocean, but it turns out to be a flop and the band doesn't realize it in their intoxicated state. After a viewing of the movie, they realize how horrible the movie is and demand that the movie shouldn't be shown to the public even though many thought it was the greatest movie ever made. However, the producer coerces them from preventing the release of the movie so that he can make the money that he spent for funding the movie back. Fortunately, the movie is destroyed in a random helicopter accident that causes a massive fire and horribly disfigures the producer.

Allusions and References

  • The line "shit sandwich" uttered by James Grishnackh is a reference to the classic 1984 metal mockumentary film This Is Spinal Tap, which follows the exploits of the members of the semi-fictional heavy-metal glam rock band Spinal Tap.
  • Movie veteran J. F. Amarth is named after the Swedish viking-themed melodic death metal band Amon Amarth.
  • Dethklok's big screen debut Blood Ocean is credited to Behemoth Pictures. Behemoth is a Polish blackened death metal band which has already been referenced in several episodes.
