Lost/Timeline 1
From The TV IV
< Lost
- This page is a timeline of the events that occurred during season one of Lost, including events that were only revealed in later seasons. This page contains spoilers. Since there are very few on-screen indications of time and date of the occurrence of events, much of this page is open to interpretation and additional conjectures. Currently, this article is compiled with information from the episodes themselves and interviews with producers and writers of the show, along with the official ABC front website, Oceanic Air.
- For additional information as to the layout of the events on this page, please refer to the Timeline Explanation article which has a complete listing of references of dates and times the timeline pulls information from. This listing became less important in season two, because explicit dates and explicit references to elapsed time were used in some episodes.

Day 1 | 9/22/2004 | Desmond kills Kelvin, and fails to press the button on time. Oceanic Flight 815 en route from Sydney to Los Angeles, breaks into three pieces and crashes onto a large island in the South Pacific. Elsewhere on the island, The Others are living in The Barracks. They feel an earthquake when Desmond fails to press the button on time. They rush outside and see the plane breaking apart in the sky. Ben sends Goodwin to where the tail-end of the plane crashed and Ethan to find the fuselage. Ben tells them both to pretend to be one of the survivors. There are 50 survivors from the middle and cockpit sections but one is quickly killed by the still active jet turbine. The tail section of Oceanic Flight 815 crashes in the ocean on the other side of the island. Soon after the crash, Goodwin rushes out of the jungle dressed as a crash-survivor. He asks to get help for Bernard, whose seat landed in a tree. Nikki meets and befriends Arzt. The monster uproots trees and makes noise near the fuselage crash site. Ben takes Juliet to the Flame cabin and has Mikhail show her her sister and nephew. He also asks Mikhail to collect information on the flight passengers. They take 3 people from the tail section survivors and try to take Eko, too, but he kills two of them. Eko stops speaking. | 1x01 - Pilot
