David Duchovny is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Special Agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files.

David Duchovny attended Princeton and in 1982 earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. He went on to pursue a Masters for English Literature at Yale. It was there that he began to participate in plays and thus began his pursuit of an acting career.
In 1993, Duchovny landed the role of Special Agent Fox Mulder of the hit show The X-Files. After spending 7 seasons with the show, he spent the last two seasons showing up sparingly due to his decision to pursue his film career.
In 2004, he appeared in the film House of D which was the first film he wrote and directed.
He is married to Tea Leoni and they have two children.
