From The TV IV

The Jim Henson Company is a production company formed by Jim Henson. They produce family-oriented programming, with much of the output featuring Jim Henson's Muppets. The company was founded in 1958 as Muppets, Inc., and has changed its name to Henson Associates in 1974, then Jim Henson Productions in 1990 before coming to its current name in 1997.

In addition to the many shows produced by the company, their work is sometimes featured in other shows, most notably being the muppet characters in Sesame Street.
