Character History
Wealthy Don often in conflict with Colonel Montoya. A friend of Tessa's father. (Ep 1)
Met the much younger Vera in Madrid and moved to Spanish California, but still depended on funds arriving by ship.
Tessa seeks his advice on the death of her father and of disappearing peasants, but his own interests come first. (Ep 1 / Ep 2)
He was involved with Tessa's father and a third Don in concealing gold from Colonel Montoya. (Ep 11)
