• Blind Faith: When it is discovered that young children can see Al, he says "Animals and kids, that's great." This refers back to when the seeing eye dog can see him in Episode 5 of this season.

• In this episode it is revealed that small children (under five years old) can see and hear Al and see Sam for who he really is. Ziggy says that this results from the children being in a "natural alpha state." Children are pure of heart, and they can see right through a lie.

• In the first scene, Kevin and Susan are fighting over a Queen T-shirt.
• Al calls Kevin's friends "Demon and Dragon freaks." This is possibly a reference to Dungeons & Dragons, a fantasy tabletop role-playing game (RPG) published by Wizards of the Coast.
• Kevin tells his mother he wants to go see "Raiders" (of the Lost Ark) with his friends.
• Susan watches Magnum PI on television.
