- It's revealed that small children (under five years old) can see and hear Al and see Sam for who he really is. Ziggy says that this results from the children being in a "natural alpha state." Children are pure of heart, and they can see right through a lie.

Behind the Scenes
- Troian Bellisario, who plays Teresa, is the daughter of creator Donald P. Bellisario and supervisor producer (and episode writer) Deborah Pratt who played the title character from "A Portrait for Troian" after whom their daughter was named.
Allusions and References
- In the first scene, Kevin and Susan are fighting over a Queen T-shirt.
- The dog is named Wookie, the name of the species of Chewbacca from Star Wars. Kevin imitates Yoda from The Empire Strikes Back, which had just been released the year before.
- Kevin also imitates Rod Serling's narration from The Twilight Zone.
- Kevin likens his sister to the shark from the 1975 film Jaws.
- Al calls Kevin's friends "Demon and Dragon freaks." This is possibly a reference to Dungeons & Dragons, a fantasy tabletop role-playing game (RPG) published by Wizards of the Coast.
- Kevin tells his mother he wants to go see Raiders (of the Lost Ark) with his friends.
- Susan watches Magnum, P.I. on television, another Donald P. Bellisario series.
