Isaac Mendez and Eden McCain are sitting in the room where Eden took Isaac. She asks when the first time he noticed was. A flashback happens, and we see Isaac dressed up with Simone Deveaux. They are going to Isaac's first art gallery showing in a long time. Simone tells him to go to the bathroom and try to get rid of the turpentine smell. Isaac takes this opportunity to shoot up. He sees what looks like Uluru, the monster from the 9th Wonders comic book, asking what he has done.

At the gallery, Isaac is on the receiving end of many compliments, when a woman hits him. She points to a painting of a girl getting hit by a bus and asks what it means. He tells her that he doesn't know her, and she storms out of the gallery. Isaac follows, asking her who she is, when she runs into the street and gets hit by a bus, exactly as the painting showed.
