[edit] Plot Overview

The Halliwells make significant professional strides when Piper becomes the manager of Quake, a popular resturant, and Prue is hired at Buckland's Auction house. Piper would much rather return to being normal than accept her fate as a witch. She doesn't share Pheobe's certainty that the Charmed Ones are good. After seeing a documentary about witches, Piper is afraid to enter a church, fearing she will be struck by lightning because she is an evil being.

On the other end of the spectrum, Pheobe's cavalier attitude toward their powers worries Prue. The Book of Shadows empathatically states that they must not use their abilites for personal gain, yet the youngest Halliwell can't resist tapping into her premonitions to see which guys will be most receptive to her advances.

While Piper is fretting and Pheobe is flirting, Andy warns Prue about someone who has been abducting young women in and around Quake. Pheobe is very excited when she meets Stefan, a handsome and famous photographer, unaware that he is the man for whom Andy and the police are searching. Pheobe agrees to model for him, but when she arrives at his studio, she gets a premonition about his true intentions. Piper then makes the connection that something is wrong when she recognizes a unique tatto the identifies an old woman as her young friend, Brittany. Piper and Prue discover that Stefan is the demon Javna, who uses the Evil Eye to steal youth. They rush to Stefan's studio and free Pheobe. The three sisters then recite an incantation to invoke the hand of Fatima that vanquishes Javna. The effects of the black magic are annulled, and the rejuvenated victims have no memory of their ordeal. Piper begins to realize that she has been given her powers to fight evil, not to make her evi, and verifies it by finally safely entering the church.
