Biography

Alyssa Milano was born on the December 19, 1972 to Lin Milano and her husband. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. She first gained fame when she was cast as Samantha in Who's the Boss?.

After Who's the Boss? Alyssa did not have much of a career until she was cast as Phoebe Halliwell in Charmed in 1998 . She was cast because of the departure of Lori Rom who played the role in the original pilot. She was voted the most famous cast member despite having Holly Marie Combs who had starred in the just ended Picket Fences in the cast. Despite being older than Holly, Alyssa played the role of the younger sister.

Alyssa was married in 1999 but divorced just shortly after. Now she lives alone in the San Fernando Valley with her pets. Alyssa lives a few miles away from Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs and they have become best friends, though Holly knew Shannen much longer before the three appeared together on Charmed.
