Biography

DeVine was born in Waterloo, Iowa, to Dennis and Penny DeVine. In 2002, he graduated from Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Orange Coast College along with his friend and Workaholics cast member Blake Anderson. He studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and later moved to Los Angeles where he started his career as a stand up comedian and actor.

When Adam was 11 years old, he was hit by a 42-ton cement truck while walking his bike across the street, which resulted in multiple fractures in both his legs and multiple surgeries over the course of three year. After each surgery, it took him two years for him to learn how to walk again.

In 2006, DeVine and friends Blake Anderson, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck formed sketch-comedy group Mail Order Comedy. Although they toured together live, they found greater success on websites such as Myspace and YouTube. In April 2008, the G4 series Attack of the Show! featured a music video that the group made called Wizards Never Die, which stars the group as the wizards.
