WOLO-TV is an ABC affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. The station broadcasts on digital channel 8 displayed to tuners on virtual channel 25 and is owned by Bahakel Communications.
WOLO first hit the airwaves in 1953 as an ABC affiliate carrying NBC and CBS as call letters WCOS-TV. In September of 1953, the station dumped CBS in favor of WNOK-TV channel 67 (now WLTX Channel 19) signing on the air. In November of that year, it lost NBC to WIS channel 10. In 1956, the station went dark and ABC programming was carried on WIS channel 10 until 1961 when the station was brought back on the air as call letters WCCA-TV. In 1964, the station became the current WOLO-TV and has been the call letters since then.
