Plot Overview

The two teams are gathered in the main dining hall with many still showing the effects of the Awake-A-Thon challenge. The Killer Bass are especially tired, since Harold had snored all of last night and made sleeping difficult for his entire team. Chris thinks most of them must be hurting (which prompts Duncan to threateningly ask Chris if he wants to find out how much, while the rest of the Bass take cover) just as Harold, sporting a mustache someone drew on him while he was sleeping, enters. He is followed by a tired Gwen, who sags onto the nearest table. Meanwhile, Heather gives Beth and Lindsay a review of the alliance rules, such as Heather being allowed to borrow anything Lindsay and Beth owns at any time, but her own stuff being strictly off-limits. Lindsay questions it, but after being threatened by Heather that she could kick her out of the alliance whenever she felt the need to, Lindsay becomes obedient. Heather mocks the opposing team for getting rid of their strongest player, Eva (while not mentioning to them that she was responsible for Eva's elimination). Courtney attempts to hit Heather with a spoonful of oatmeal in response, but Heather dodges and Gwen gets hit in the face with the oatmeal. However, she is too tired to retaliate. Chris tells the campers that the next challenge begins in ten minutes.

On what looks like a squash court with clear glass walls, the two teams gather with Duncan, still exhausted, collapses onto one of the bleacher rows. Duncan threatens the team to not dare awaken him, or it would be the last thing they do. Courtney blames Harold for this, but he yells at Courtney, claiming that his snoring is caused by a medical condition. Chef, dressed as a referee, blows a whistle to silence the teams as Chris explains that the teams will be playing the game of dodgeball and goes over the rules. The Gophers have to sit out one person per game and Noah immediately volunteers to sit out with Gwen.

Harold attempts to use his martial arts to throw his dodgeball, but with no actual muscle power behind his throw, it only goes less than a foot, not even reaching its intended target: Leshawna. Leshawna quickly makes short work of Harold, who runs screaming like a girl before Leshawna tags him out. When Heather catches Lindsay and Tyler exchanging romantic glances, the jealous Heather responds by nailing Tyler in the groin with a dodgeball throw. An angry Courtney catches Heather committing the blatant foul and demands that Chef do something about it, but Heather avoids trouble by claiming that the ball "slipped". Courtney responds by throwing a ball at Heather, who gets spared when Owen catches the ball, resulting in Courtney being put out. Near the end of the round, DJ and Katie manage to corner Cody, the lone Gopher standing. However, Cody proves to be an expert dodgeball player by using his skills to make the ball work like a boomerang to take DJ out by surprise, and by rubbing the dodgeball on his sweater vest, he manages to use static electricity to guide the ball to hit Katie like a heat-seeking missile. With Katie eliminated, the Gophers win the first game in a best three out of five.

Tyler, the talentless jock, overhyped his abilities in this round and ended up hitting his own teammate on the bench, making Courtney believe he wasn't worth having on the court. However, he convinced her and the others that it was just a warm-up throw and that he could dominate the game if all the balls were given to him. The rest of his team complies, however, all but one of his balls fly out of control, nearly hitting Chef, Chris, and the Gophers who were benched. The last one finally hits an active player on the Gopher team, but of all people, it was Lindsay. Tyler cries out as he rushes to her and picks her up. Due to Lindsay's general clueless nature, she had gotten herself hit in the face with dodgeballs numerous times, making her face a bruised mess. Tyler assures her that she doesn't look that bad, and despite it being against Heather's alliance rules, Lindsay agrees to go on a walk with him. Before that, Trent walks up and makes a light throw at the nearby Tyler to eliminate him from the game.

Suddenly, Owen is overcome with rage as he starts taking dodgeballs out of his teammates' hands and thrashes every single Bass player on his own, earning his team their second straight win. Afterwards, he admits he doesn't know what got into him. Heather points out to the Bass that the score is now 2-0, and if they lose the next game, they would lose the entire challenge and end up in yet another Campfire ceremony. Courtney was determined to not let this happen. Without Eva, Courtney looked to Duncan to aid the team with his fierce, merciless nature. The Bass team is mostly too afraid to awaken him, but through a joint effort, they all wake him up and inform him of the situation they were in. Duncan asks Courtney why he should help them, and Courtney threatens that he would undeniably be the next one to leave the island if he refused to cooperate. Not wanting to take any chances, Duncan concedes and participates, but only on the condition that everyone follows his orders.

Duncan implements his "Rush the New Guy" strategy, which basically meant that everyone on the team throws their balls simultaneously at the same person, making it nigh impossible for that person to escape. All of the Screaming Gophers are taken by surprise when Owen, the Gophers' strongest dodgeball player, is taken down first with the strategy. With Owen out, the rest of the Gophers are easy pickings as they are all taken down with numerous dodgeballs, one at a time, which earns the Killer Bass (who did not lose a single player in that round) their first win. Noah, who had refused to participate at all in this challenge, criticizes his team and hypocritically urges them to put more effort into their game, which angers several of his teammates. Heather becomes angry, not willing to let the Killer Bass strike back successfully next time. She then notices that Lindsay is still missing, so she goes off to find her. Lindsay is found cuddling with Tyler under the boat dock. A furious Heather then assaults Tyler a second time by driving a kayak down end-first over his head, then she drags Lindsay back to the court and orders her to sit down. When Heather returns, she asks the others how they are faring in Round 4, but quickly sees that her team is getting slaughtered again with Duncan's strategy. The Killer Bass win their second game in a row, again without losing any players, tying up the scores. The next round would decide the winner of the challenge overall.

For the final game, Harold is tired of sitting out and wants to play for his team, but Courtney is dead set against it. This round carries on for a while, with numerous players rotating throughout the duration of the game. Eventually, Geoff, who pitied Harold, allowed him to take his place in the game. Duncan instructed Harold to stay in the back of the court. Gwen nails Courtney in the face with the dodgeball, saying it was revenge for the oatmeal earlier that day. One by one, the Gophers and Bass take each other out until it comes down to the final players of each team: Owen for the Gophers, and Harold for the Bass. Knowing they had this win for certain, the Gophers are already cheering in victory. Owen, will all his might, hurls four dodgeballs at Harold, but Harold shows a certain strength that no one had seen before—his expert reflexes, as he successfully dodges every ball Owen threw at him. Amazed, Courtney calls for a time-out as they tend to Harold and ask him how he was able to dodge so skillfully. Harold explains that he had taken figure-skating classes. Geoff compliments his talent, but tells him that dodging isn't enough to win the game. Courtney concurs and asks Harold if he would be able to catch the ball, since it was already well-known that Harold had no chance of throwing out Owen. Harold assures her that he could catch the ball.

The game then resumes, and Owen uses all of his strength to throw one single dodgeball at Harold that would hit him for sure. It does, and the force behind Owen's throw was hard enough to drive Harold against the glass wall. He slides down to the floor, but reveals that he had caught the ball and never let go. The Killer Bass win the round, and the entire game. Everyone carries off Harold in celebration while Chris asks the Gophers what happened. Noah blames the loss on weak effort by his teammates, but Heather and the others, noting Noah's total lack of participation, tell him to be quiet, as the girls walk off while the guys direct dirty looks at him.

At the bonfire ceremony, marshmallows are given to Owen, Gwen, Cody, Trent, Heather, Beth, Justin, Leshawna, Izzy, and finally Lindsay. Noah is voted off, much to his surprise. He then complains and tells his team that they just voted off the only person who had any intelligence, but this statement falls on deaf ears of his former teammates, who respond to him by throwing their marshmallows at him, which surprisingly hurts him. Leshawna insults Noah by calling him a disrespectful turkey. Chris acknowledges that it wasn't the most dramatic bonfire ceremony ever, but he figures it's okay since he still gets paid.
