Plot Overview
The episode opens with Lindsay whining about being out of fake tan products to Gwen, who has just woken up. Chris's voice soon blares out of the speakers asking if the campers got enough sleep and demands that they show what they're made of.
The scene goes to the two teams sitting on wooden stairs in front of a stage. While they wait, Lindsay ask if they're going to be watching a musical, Trent sees Gwen and tells her he's saved her a seat. Lindsay blows a kiss to Tyler, and Heather gives them a dirty look because of the interaction.
Chris eventually comes out and tells everyone that they will be doing a talent show, and they have eight hours to pick their three most talented teammates. The three will represent their respective teams in the talent show. Back at the Screaming Gophers cabin, Heather declares herself team captain and Gwen questions her about it. Their argument is interrupted when Trent comes up and gives Gwen an extra muffin. Heather asks Trent if he's okay with her leading the team for the talent show. Trent agrees, not really caring. Heather declares herself, Lindsay, and Beth the judges.
At the Killer Bass cabin, the first ones to audition are Katie and Sadie and they do a dance. Next up for the Gophers is Owen, who drinks a big bottle of soda then burps the entire alphabet. All the guys cheer, but Heather refuses to let him use that as a talent in the contest, calling it disgusting. Trent comes to Owen's defence by asking her if she knows how hard it is to burp the entire alphabet in one go.
During the Bass auditions, Tyler is seen yo-yoing. He starts off okay, but then gets himself tangled in the yo-yo string. For the Gophers, Heather performs a ballet dance and is quickly accepted to be used as a talent by Lindsay and Beth. Heather tells everyone to take five and then quickly pulls Lindsay aside asking her if she can keep a secret. Lindsay then tells Heather a story about her older sister getting diarrhea during a date and how she never told a soul, then remembers that she's on national television, looks at the screen, and apologizes to her sister. Heather shoves a walkie-talkie into Lindsay's hand and tells her to follow Gwen.
Lindsay follows Gwen with binoculars until she gets bored and sees Tyler. The scene switches to Team Bass watching DJ do a rhythmic gymnastics routine with a ribbon. DJ becomes their first representative. Bridgette goes up next, saying she can stand on her head for twenty minutes. She demonstrates, but Courtney rejects her, saying the talent is more suited for monkeys. Harold walks up next and is shot down before he can even say anything.
At the communal washrooms, Lindsay and Tyler are making out while Heather yells through the walkie-talkie, asking if she's found anything. Lindsay hurriedly replies "On my way back—under!", and the scene goes back to the Bass. Geoff is seen doing tricks on a skateboard. The Bass have their three representatives now; off-screen, Courtney was chosen to be the second one after performing a solo with her violin. However, Bridgette ends up replacing her after an accident involving a bet she made with the other boys about her alleged hand-standing talent. Her clumsiness got her leg tangled up on a rope that was holding up a light in the amphitheater, and the light comes crashing down directly over Courtney's head and smashes her violin in two. Bridgette attempts to make amends by fixing the violin, but the musical instrument crumbles beyond repair in her hands, and a saddened and angry Courtney then begins to cry.
Back with the Gophers, Izzy does a snake dance which mesmerizes Owen, and then Beth twirls two fire batons. She does great until she tosses one in the air and everyone ducks for cover. One burns a hole in the ground and the other sets a bush on fire. Justin comes out with a fire extinguisher and puts out the fire. Heather declares that the three representatives will be herself, Justin, and Trent. Nearby, Gwen is writing in her journal when Cody comes to talk with her. Gwen ignores him while he tries to make small talk until Cody sniffs her hair. Gwen gets up and walks back to the cabin after insulting him.
While Gwen is out at the dock swimming with Trent, Heather goes into the Gophers cabin and steals Gwen's journal while getting Lindsay to keep watch for Gwen. Soon after, the talent show starts. Justin is first, doing his Flashdance routine and gets six out of a possible nine points. Next up is DJ with his ribbon dance, but his legs somehow gets tangled in the ribbon and he gets only two points for the flop. Trent goes next and, with his acoustic guitar, he sings a song about Gwen and gets the highest score yet—eight out of nine points. Bridgette goes up next with her hand-standing talent. Starting to feel queasy while doing the handstand, she burps twice, then throws up because of all the chips she ate before showtime. She ends up vomiting on Owen and Leshawna, then turns around and pukes on Katie, who freaks out before she gags and then pukes on Sadie. Bridgette then slips on her own vomit and falls into Tyler's lap. Lindsay is outraged and yells at Bridgette to puke on her own boyfriend, but is quickly silenced by Heather. Chris then orders an unscheduled commercial break to clean up the mess, much to Bridgette's humiliation.
Heather is up and, in lieu of her ballet dance, she decides to read pages from Gwen's journal about Trent to the entire viewing world. Gwen, embarrassed to no end, runs off while Bridgette and Courtney comment about how uncalled-for the act was. Heather gets no points from Chef for what was clearly a mean-spirited and vindictive attempt to humiliate Gwen. Geoff is about to go on when he accidentally breaks his skateboard in two. With Katie and Sadie covered in vomit and Tyler and Duncan not having any outstanding talent, the Bass pick Harold to go as a replacement. He acts as a human beatbox and wins the Bass the competition, winning a perfect score from Chef.
Before the campfire ceremony, Heather, knowing that she will be targeted for elimination by her Gophers teammates in retribution for the diary incident and for costing her team the win because of it, is in the Confessional Can commenting about how she intends to save herself from being voted off by bribing Lindsay, Beth, Izzy and Owen into voting with her to get Justin off the island. At the campfire pit, Heather and Justin are the last two remaining. Chris criticizes Heather for publicly reading Gwen's diary to embarrass her, and the overconfident Heather responds by presumptuously demanding that Chris give her "her" marshmallow. Justin is sent home in an extremely controversial move that even leaves Chris disappointed when, noting how wrong he feels it is, he announces Justin's elimination. Afterward, Gwen, seeking to exact revenge on Heather, goes to the Bass cabin and asks Harold about borrowing his red ant farm so she can dump its contents into Heather's bed. Shortly after, Heather runs screaming out of the Gophers cabin, with the ants swarming over her body, and Gwen giggles to herself in her bed and bids everyone good night, satisfied with the success of her revenge plan.
