Happenings

  • It's discovered that Dante was picked to spy because he would not be recognised by Lydia. Part of his mission included encouraging their paranoia and sowing their self-destruction. He believes this will continue as they debate what to do with him, but Gabriel murders him in his cell and burns the body.
  • Aaron learns the location of the herd from Gamma. He, Carol, Daryl, Connie, Magna, and Jerry go to check it only to find nothing. As they look for Lydia, Carol spots Alpha and chases her into a cave, with the others following after her. They find the herd and while the walkers can't get to them, they don't seem to be able to escape.
  • Michonne and the others find a man named Virgil as he tries to steal a sail and boat from Oceanside. He explains that he's trying to get back to his family who are on a naval base on Bloodsworth Island. He offers the weapons there that could be enough to take out Alpha's herd. Michonne leaves with him to bring them back.

Characters

  • Daryl calls Carol out for wanting Alpha dead, even at the risk of her own life. He tells her Alpha's not worth it, but Carol runs headlong after anyway when she catches sight of her.
  • After taking out some walkers before being helped by Eugene, Rosita goes to Gabriel to talk about it. While more content with getting killed, she now fears orphaning her daughter. However, he does little to console her feeling of helplessness. Later, when he burns Dante's body, she puts her head on his shoulder and he puts his to hers.

Referbacks

  • When Virgil brings up mercy, Michonne recalls the quote "My mercy prevails over my wrath". Siddiq quoted this to Carl in "Mercy", which Rick later quoted in the aftermath of the war with the Saviors in "Wrath".
