Samantha Bee was born in 1969, in Toronto, Canada (She considers herself an "American-In-Training"). She is known primarily for being a correspondent for The Daily Show.

Samantha Bee graduated from the University of Ottawa, but decided that acting may be more her speed, and four years later she founded the all-female sketch comedy troupe The Atomic Fireballs.
Bee is married to fellow Daily Show correspondent Jason Jones and the two of them have a daughter, Piper Bee-Jones, born January 2006. Bee returned from maternity leave in April 2006 and is currently back at work on The Daily Show.
