Allusions and References
- When Al is coaching Sam, he asks him, "Didn't you see the movie?" The movie is Good Morning, Vietnam a 1987 movie starring Robin Williams about radio DJ during the Vietnam war who is adored by the troops while riling up his superior. The film is also likely what the episode title is based on.
- "Howlin' Chick Howell" seems to be named in reference to radio DJ Wolfman Jack.
