On the day of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 at the barracks, Amelia was visiting Juliet Burke for a book club meeting with several of the Others. She arrived shortly after Juliet accidentally burned herself while making muffins and helped Juliet treat the burn with some ice. Noticing something was bothering Juliet, Amelia asked her if Benjamin Linus finally told her how he felt. Juliet denied that anything happened, rather things got complicated. After prodding her for more information, Amelia was told they were in big trouble. Juliet wanted to show her an envelope, after swearing her to secrecy, but was interrupted by the arrival of the book club members. The contents of the envelope were the X-rays of Ben's spine, showing the existence of a tumor despite Ben telling them that no one on the island has ever had a trace of cancer and that he could cure it through Jacob.

3x01 - A Tale of Two Cities: Amelia arrives at Juliet's house just after Juliet had burnt her hand with muffins in the oven. Amelia comments on Ethan, who was busy working on Juliet's plumbing outside the house. Amelia was in Juliet's house at the time when Desmond failed to press the button on time. An earthquake occurred and after going outside, they could see the Oceanic Flight 815 crashing through the sky.
