[edit] Plot Overview

It is Thanksgiving and Lorelai and Rory have been invited to four separate Thanksgiving dinners. They try to get out of going to dinner at Luke's but realize that it is more important to Luke than they thought.

Dinner at the Kim's is first, where Dave Rygalsky is the guitar player for the evening. Lane put up an ad on the bulletin board at church, then pretended to find it while her mother was there and convinced her mother to hire him for the evening.

Next they stop by Sookie's house where Sookie agreed to let Jackson cook for Thanksgiving before discovering that he intended to deep fry the turkey in a vat of peanut oil.

At Luke's they sit down to eat with Luke and Jess.

Next is the Gilmore family dinner. During dinner the subject of university applications comes up as Richard and Emily's other guests have grand children who are applying to university as well. When they begin talking about backup schools, Rory admits to having applied to Yale which makes Lorelai furious.
