Plot Overview

While on duty at the Khaki Barn, Nikki meets Hunter, an Albatross & Finch Greeter God, in the change rooms while he tries on some clothes. Nikki and Hunter discover they have some things in common, such as saving up money to go travelling after they graduate high school and travelling through Asia as part of their plans, and they bond over the moment. Hunter invites Nikki to stop over at Albatross & Finch during her break, and a giddy Nikki is head over heels with the invitation. Later at the food court, Nikki writes in her journal when Caitlin comes running and greets her. Nikki closes her journal, but not before Caitlin spots Hunter's name in there and asks who he is, saying as she looks through the journal that Nikki would never just write any guy's name in it. Nikki explains about her meeting with Hunter at the Khaki Barn and adds that she is unsure about whether he likes her, so Caitlin offers to find out for her.

Jonesy comes along and staples a flyer for a psychic hotline to the outside of the Big Squeeze stand, telling Caitlin that he was paid $20 to put up the flyers around The Galleria. Wyatt discovers that the hotline number is just one digit off of the phone number for Underground Video, and a skeptical Nikki dismisses the hotline as a load of bunk when she spots Hunter walk by the food court and he says hello to her in passing. Nikki waves back, leading Caitlin to realize that it was indeed Hunter, which she tells the gang to Nikki's chagrin. Jen teases Nikki, using the psychic theme, by predicting a "summer of love" for her, frustrating Nikki further.

Caitlin goes shopping at Albatross & Finch when Nikki calls her, asking if Hunter has said anything yet, and Cait reassures her that she has everything under control as she goes to the sales counter where Hunter is. Hunter recognizes Caitlin right away, telling her they're both in the same gym class at school. Caitlin attempts to talk to Hunter about Nikki, but he interrupts by asking her what she thinks of A&F's new uniform. Caitlin gives her approval, and Hunter tells her that they have fashion sense in common, creating another bond. Before Caitlin can ask about Nikki, Hunter invites her to go out with him at 7:00 for dinner and Cait accepts, momentarily forgetting about Nikki before she turns to head back to the Khaki Barn and realizes her mistake, just as Nikki calls back. Caitlin tells a pleased Nikki that the plan to get her a date with Hunter was successful and tells her when and where the date will be (7:00 at the Gigantoplex), then after hanging up, Caitlin expresses regret over the plan going awry.

At Underground Video, Wyatt and Jude fight over who will get the ringing store phone when Wayne answers it and angrily tells the caller at the other end, Lydia (a freaky girl who once dated Jonesy), that she did not reach the psychic hotline. After Wyatt tells Jude that he foresaw what Wayne would do, it gives the guys an idea. Meanwhile, as Jonesy finishes posting hotline flyers around the food court, a modelling agent named Frederika appears and expresses admiration over Jonesy's neck, telling him that she specializes in body parts modelling and that she will make him the next big neck model. Jonesy, thrilled at the opportunity, accepts Frederika's offer. Back at the video store, Jude answers the phone and identifies as the psychic hotline, and Lydia is again at the other end, talking about Jonesy (and showing that she never got over him after he dumped her for Nikki) as Jude and Wyatt, doing their "psychic readings" using joke tarot cards and a magic 8-ball, laugh it up at their end before Jude plays a joke on Lydia by telling her to stand in the mall fountain like a scarecrow and wait for Jonesy there, which Lydia eagerly agrees to. The next caller is Coach Halder, who asks the guys for advice on what to do because he has begun craving eating an ice cream sundae while training for a marathon, so Jude checks the 8-ball and, playing on the "seize the day" message he got, tells Halder to "seize the sundae".

Back at the Khaki Barn, Nikki emerges from a change stall wearing a pink halter top for her date with Hunter, which Caitlin likes. Caitlin suddenly remembers that she has her date to get ready for, but conveniently leaves out that her date is Hunter, instead telling Nikki that she's having dinner with her grandfather, then Caitlin leaves the store, again despairing over what happened to cause Hunter to go on the date with her instead of Nikki. Meanwhile, Jonesy calls Jude and Wyatt at Underground Video and tells them the news about his being picked to be a neck model.

At the Gigantoplex, 7:00 comes and goes as Nikki waits for Hunter to arrive, while at an ice cream shop, Hunter is with Caitlin enjoying sundaes when Jen walks past the store window and sees the two of them together. Caitlin sees a shocked Jen looking at them and suddenly chokes on the cherry she had eaten before hiding her face behind a menu as Jen walks in and demands to speak with her. In the store washroom, Jen confronts Caitlin about seeing her with Hunter when he was supposed to be with Nikki, and Caitlin explains that she tried asking him out for Nikki but never got the chance because Hunter asked Cait out first. When Jen asks Caitlin if she would be the kind of girl who chooses a guy over her best friend, Cait realizes that she has to do the right thing and break up with Hunter, but when she tries a moment later, Hunter unveils a sundae he had bought for the two of them, and Caitlin forgets what she wanted to say and thanks him for the treat. Back at the movies, 8:00 arrives and Nikki finally gives up waiting for Hunter, ripping up their movie tickets and walking away as she realizes her date has stood her up.

At the Khaki Barn the next day, Nikki sees Hunter walk by and decides to confront him about standing her up at the Gigantoplex, so she runs over to Albatross & Finch and criticizes him for it. After Hunter explains to Nikki about Caitlin, she heads to the Big Squeeze and, when Nikki threatens to dump a glass of lemonade over Caitlin's head, Cait admits to going out with Hunter the night before and the two girls fall out over it. Later, Nikki calls Hunter at Albatross & Finch and pretends to be Caitlin. Hunter tries to confirm a dinner date he made with Caitlin earlier, but Nikki, still pretending to be her, cancels the date, claiming a family emergency before she hangs up and tries to figure out what she ever saw in him. At the food court, Jude and Wyatt notice Jonesy with a hot towel over his face, which Jonesy explains was suggested by Frederika to keep his pores open. A moment later, Jen shows up and chastizes Wyatt and Jude for giving Halder psychic advice when Halder, now wearing glasses as the result of some advice the guys gave him earlier, yells to Jen from the Penalty Box and orders her to get back to work. Jen warns Jude and Wyatt to put an end to their psychic hotline prank calls, promising consequences if they don't. Jonesy laughs at the guys for getting caught when Lydia, dressed in an Easter Bunny suit after being told to do so in another hotline call, suddenly comes from nowhere and jumps Jonesy, who freaks out and runs off as Lydia jumps on his back and hangs onto him by his neck.

At Super Terrific Happy Sushi, Caitlin waits for Hunter for their dinner date as Nikki hides behind some plants, waiting to see how her attempt to sabotage the date goes. Some time later, a saddened Caitlin, having gone through an entire bowl of complementary bread while waiting, begins crying as she realizes Hunter is not coming. Nikki, feeling no satisfaction over sabotaging the date and feeling some remorse for making Caitlin cry, walks up to her table and confesses to her about the date sabotage attempt when the two girls spot Hunter walk past the restaurant with one of The Clones, Kirsten, by his side as he compliments her. Realizing that Hunter is a serial-dating player, Nikki and Caitlin make up, then make plans to teach Hunter a lesson for two-timing both of them.

Jude and Wyatt continue with their psychic hotline pranks when they get a call from a woman named Astria, claiming to be the owner of the real psychic hotline, who threatens to put a hex on the guys if they don't stop pretending to be her. When they refuse to stop, a DVD case comes flying at the guys and hits Wyatt, and Jude picks up the case and freaks when he reads the front of the case—the DVD is called Hex. Jude and Wyatt, both scared by what just happened, agree to put a stop to their hotline hijinks, while in a DVD aisle elsewhere in the store, "Astria" is revealed to be Jen, hiding out and pulling a prank of her own to get the guys to stop their phone prank fun.

Back at the Big Squeeze, Nikki, Caitlin, Wyatt and Jude watch as Hunter walks by with head Clone Chrissy and they sit at a food court table. At that point, Kirsten and Kristen, along with Gwen and Mandy (the friends of Caitlin's rival Tricia), show up and momentarily argue over who is supposed to be dating Hunter, who realizes the trouble he's in as he takes off running from the food court, with the entire posse of angry girls in pursuit. The gang laughs as Nikki and Caitlin savor the success of their revenge plan against Hunter. Meanwhile, Jonesy loses his job as a neck model as the result of a neck injury he suffered when Lydia jumped him earlier, and he figuratively kicks himself for not taking the time to take out a $1,000,000 insurance policy on his neck before the injury.
