• Dropped Foreshadowing: Had there been subsequent seasons, this episode would have seeded the largest overarching storyline. In the second season, Dr. Ron would try to ingraciate himself in Karen's life by offering to write a book on the emotion of Niagra Falls with her aid as a travel guide writer. However, his main goal was to get closer to Jaye and study her because she quit going to therapy. In the third season, the premiere would begin with the revelation that Dr. Ron wrote a book on Jaye's "Christ Complex" and that landed her in a mental institution.
