WWL is the call sign for the CBS affiliate in New Orleans, Louisiana, broadcasting on digital channel 36, displayed on digital tuners as virtual 4. Its sister station is MyNetworkTV affiliate WUPL/digital ch. 24 (virtual 54).

WWL signed on in 1957 as the TV counterpart of its radio blowtorch WWL-AM (870 khz). As the radio station was a CBS affiliate, so would be WWL-TV, which has had CBS as sole affiliation since. It is CBS's strongest performing affiliate.

As Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans and the Louisiana and Texas coast in August of 2005, WWL provided continuous coverage from facilities set up for them in Baton Rouge at the LSU campus. Flooding of their New Orleans studio prompted them to relocate temporarily to LSU and use facilities from KHOU, the CBS affiliate in Houston, Texas. WWL's coverage earned them a Peabody Award.
