WTGS is the FOX affiliate for the Savannah, Georgia television market, broadcasting on digital UHF channel 27.1, displayed on tuners as 28, its original analog channel. It is licensed to the city of Hardeeville, South Carolina. Its sister station is WJCL, the ABC affiliate for Savannah.
WTGS signed on in 1985 as a standard independent before becoming a FOX affiliate two years later.
WTGS will move from RF 27 to 26 in January 2020 as a result of the digital spectrum auction.
