WJAX-TV is the call sign for the CBS affiliate in the Jacksonville, Florida market. It broadcasts on digital channel 19, displayed on tuners as virtual 47.

Channel 47 (analog) went on the air in 1980 as religious independent WXAO, devoting 12 hours a day to religious fare and some 6 hours to westerns, cartoons and sitcoms. In 1983 the station changed calls to WNFT. In 1993, they operated out of the studios of Fox affiliate WAWS/channel 30 through a limited marketing agreement. Channel 47 became a UPN affiliate in 1995 and changed calls to WTEV (previously used by what is now WLNE/channel 6 in New Bedford, MA).

In 2002, long-time CBS affiliate WJXT/channel 4 announced it was terminating their affiliation with the network over network carry fees and thus change to independent status. WTEV became the market's new CBS affiliate. WTEV shut down its analog 47 on June 12, 2009. In 2014, the station changed its call letters to the current WJAX-TV. Sister station WAWS subsequently changed their call to WFOX-TV.
