Plot Overview
The black-haired girl is staring at the person floating in the tank. Fei Wang Reed walks up behind her and asks if she was thinking of waking him up. She says no, but eventually that day will come.
In a land where many haggard-looking people are working the land, the group lands in a heap. A post with a note lands with them, the same post from the previous episode. They open the note - it is from Yūko, reminding them that they owe her White Day gifts. Kurogane has no idea what she's talking about. Mokona says it feels the presence of a feather. Syaoran says he'll get it, then passes out.
Syaoran has a flashback to Clow Country, where he is watering some flowers at the ruins. Sakura approaches him, and he explains that during his excavation he discovered that this place was a garden, so he thought he'd recreate it. Sakura says everyone's been wondering where the garden came from, so she wants to tell them. Syaoran asks her to keep it a secret, and she agrees.
Syaoran wakes up in a bed. The others tell him that he passed out, and Kurogane carried him here. The old lady who owns the house they are in enters the room, and Syaoran asks her about local legends. She takes everyone outside and shows them a floating temple. The temple is where their god lives, and until recently it was underground. When it rose above the ground, the god told everyone that whomever got there first would have their wish granted, and so the men of the village have been fighting to get up there. Most of them were killed by shadowy soldiers on the way up, and now no one tries to get up to the temple anymore.
Later that night, Kurogane is looking at the temple. Fai asks him what he's thinking about, but he already knows - Kurogane is thinking about using the wish to go home.
Sakura is looking out the window at the temple. Mokona points at it and says that's where the feather is. Sakura says someone is calling to her, and she goes outside. Syaoran, Sakura, and Mokona end up at a cemetery where the old woman is, at her grandson's grave. She says he died trying to get to the temple. The old woman cries, and Sakura says they are all crying.
Syaoran decides to go get the feather. All of them gather at the foot of the stairs to the temple, and begin the climb. The shadowy soldiers begin to appear - the same that attacked the ruins in Clow. The scene shifts, and we learn that the troops were sent by Fei Wang Reed to prevent them from wishing Sakura's memories back.
Syaoran, Fai, and Kurogane fight off the soldiers with various attacks. Syaoran is now using the sword regularly. Kurogane says they should save their energy, as they still have a long way to go. Soldiers surround Fai, but he tells Syaoran to keep going. Syaoran doesn't want to leave him, but Kurogane orders him to come. They run up, while Fai gets ready to fight the soldiers.
Inside the temple, they are confronted by more soldiers. Kurogane destroys most of them with swift blows, though Syaoran does his part. Sakura notices the doors at the end of the hall start to close, and calls out. Kurogane tells them to go. They run through the closing doors while Kurogane continues to fight. He says he only has one wish.
In the room past the doors, they see Sakura's feather. The god is there too, and he tells them to make their wish. Syaoran asks a question first, whether the god could grant wishes before it got the feather. It tells them that the feather has given it great power. A white humanoid creature appears behind them, and Syaoran tells Sakura to make her wish while he takes care of the creature. Sakura thinks about all the sadness in the town, and chooses to wish for the lives lost because of the feather to be restored. Sakura gets her feather back, and remembers the garden back in Clow. Syaoran defeats the creature.
Fei Wang Reed is watching, and says that they avoided the worst possible outcome in this case, even if Sakura did get her feather back. He also says eventually, they will have to wake the person in the tank up - who looks like Syaoran.
