Plot Overview
The Miteshu finally arrive, but they cannot enter the town because of the Ryoshi's magic. The Ryoshi is confident that the feather he has makes him invincible.
Everyone is resting at Chun'yan's house. When looking at Sakura, Chun'yan is reminded of her mother. Syaoran, Kurogane and Fai are talking about why Sakura entered the castle, and Fai thinks one of her feathers is there. Kurogane points out she only lost her feathers a few days ago, while the Ryoshi would have had it for a year now. Fai suggests that time may flow differently there.
Syaoran vows to get Sakura's feather back, but Fai says they need to take down the magic barrier first. Mokona suggests asking Yūko. It contacts her, and Fai gives up his staff in exchange for a black ball of energy capable of taking down the barrier. Chun'yan begs Syaoran to let her go with them to the castle, but he tells her to remain behind with Sakura.
At the castle, Mokona tells Syaoran to throw the ball, so he kicks it at the magic barrier, cracking it. They enter the castle, but quickly get lost. Fai senses where the magic is really coming from, and has Kurogane break the wall so they can step through. On the other side Kishi is waiting for them. She talks down to them, but Syaoran asks her for the whereabouts of the Ryoshi. She cannot tell them nor can she let them go, so they must fight. She uses her magic to change the room into an arena with tall poles to stand on above an acidic lake, as well as floating bubbles of acid that damage anything they hit. Fai and Kurogane make staffs to hit the bubbles with.
The townspeople decide to storm the castle and Chun'yan wants to join them, but Sakura says she must stay.
Fai tells Syaoran to go on ahead, and Kurogane launches Syaoran and Mokona upwards to find the feather. Syaoran cracks the magic barrier there, and leaves. Kishi attacks Fai and Kurogane more viciously.
Chun'yan still wants to go to the castle. Sakura is glowing, and stands up, and tells Chun'yan it's time to go.
Upstairs in the castle, Syaoran asks Mokona to leave for a bit - the Ryoshi's son is there, and he's had his strength enhanced by magic.

Characters
- This is the first time we see Mokona communicate with the other world (Yūko's Japan).
- The markings on Fai's back that he gave to Yūko were not the source of his magic, but a device to keep his powers in check. Apparently, he can still use magic, but has decided not to.
Referbacks
