Plot Overview

Sakura wakes up because she hears someone talking - it might be her feather calling to her.

At breakfast, they notice Syaoran's hand is hurt from last episode's fight, and comment on the strength of the Ryoshi and his son. Chun'yan explains how they've tried to attack the castle before, but were kept out by magic. Since the Ryoshi watches over the entire town with his powers, Kurogane proposes attacking the castle, but with a strategy.

Chun'yan, Syaoran, and Sakura head into town to recruit an army. The Ryoshi sees them in his orb, and reassures his son that they are safe inside the castle. He also comments to his son that he should marry Chun'yan. But since the Ryoshi has the feather, he says he doesn't need her and will just kill Chun'yan instead. Chun'yan leads Syaoran and Sakura to a secret warrior hideout, where they encounter two familiar faces - this world's Sorata and Arashi. But the pair does not wish to fight because of the failed attack on the castle from before, where many townspeople vanished. Meanwhile, Sakura senses her feather again.

Chun'yan remembers her mother's death, and that the Ryoshi has trapped her mother's soul in an empty dimension. Outside, Arashi talks to Chun'yan, while Sakura is drawn to her feather. Sakura floats up into the castle. Syaoran goes after her.

Back at Chun'yan's house, Kurogane is working on battle strategies while Fai (sort of) fixes the roof. Mokona bursts in to tell them about Syaoran and Sakura. They go to the castle,

Inside the castle, Syaoran is looking for Sakura in the void. When he finally finds her, the Ryoshi attacks them with fire and rock. Syaoran and Sakura see a red-eyed beast in the shadows. The Ryoshi's son tells him that Chun'yan is trying to stir up the people.

Syaoran and Sakura are surrounded by beasts. Sakura walks right up to them, and it turns out that they are actually the lost townspeople transformed. The spirit of Chun'yan's mother floats up and blesses Sakura, helping her and Syaoran escape. When they emerge outside, the townspeople realize that it is possible to escape the castle. Syaoran explains that destroying the magic barrier will return the missing people.

Back in the castle, the Ryoshi summons the evil princess Kishi.
