Sonic X — Season One

Missile Wrist Rampage is the third episode of the first season of Sonic X, and the third episode overall.

Eggman uses his robot, Missile Wrist, to try to take over the town.

Plot Overview

Eggman devises a plan to conquer the Earth, but he needs the help of a robot. He decides to call for Missile Wrist. Meanwhile, Amy and Knuckles are lost in the sewer. Sonic is off running around mountains, and Tails, Chris, and Chuck are back at the house. Tails is cleaning the Tornado, but Chris is worried about Sonic.

Eggman uses Missile Wrist to threaten the Mayor into surrendering the town. The Mayor refuses, so Eggman proceeds to destroy the town with the help of Missile Wrist. Tails and Chris see this on TV and go to face Eggman. Knuckles and Amy hear the explosions from in the sewer, so they go to attack from the top of a building as Missile Wrist tries to shoot Tails out of the sky. Sonic returns from his run just in time to finish off Missile Wrist. Amy goes with Tails back to Chris' house, but Knuckles decided to stay behind.

Notes

• Amy goes home with Chris and stays with him. Knuckles decides to stay behind.
• We learn that Knuckles is the keeper of the Master Emerald.
• For the next few episodes, Eggman will randomly select a robot to do his dirty work. This episode, he used Missile Wrist.

• Knuckles: This whole thing is Sonic's fault!
  Amy: All Sonic did was try and stop Eggman. He didn't mean for us to get sent here.
  Knuckles: Even if Dr. Eggman is the one to blame, Sonic shouldn't've pushed him so far.
  Amy: He's not afraid to fight back!
  Knuckles: Sonic just likes getting into fights for kicks!
  Amy: I'm not going any further if you talk trash about Sonic!

• Chris: If the police spot Sonic, they'll try to catch him!
  Tails: Catch Sonic? I don't think so.
  Chris: I just hope he's careful...
  Tails: That's not his style. Sonic likes danger.
  Chris: We have to bring him back, right away!

• Tails: This is like trying to find a hedgehog in a haystack!

• Knuckles: (thinking) Until I find my way back, I am not going to rest or get sidetracked. (hears a noise) Huh?

• Mayor: I am the mayor of this city, and I will not be blackmailed into negotiating with the likes of you!
  Eggman: Really? (snaps fingers; Missile Wrist attacks a building and covers everyone with dust) Mayor, now are you ready to negotiate with me?
  Mayor: Uh, technically, sir, our character doesn't allow me to surrender the city.
  Eggman: (dejected look on his face) Missile Wrist, destroy this town before I...
  Tails: Eggman!

• Knuckles: (goes through an Exit door) All right, I need a strategy! (Amy comes through the elevator) What took you so long?

• Eggman: This isn't over, blue boy! (flies off) You haven't heard the last of Eggman! Soon, I will rule this world, this universe, and the Chaos Emeralds will be mine...

• Amy: Oh, Sonic! Sonic! (hugs Sonic, but chokes him) You're okay!
  Sonic: Take it easy!
  Amy: For awhile there, Sonic, I thought I'd never see you again!
  Sonic: Amy! Please, let me go!

• Policeman: All right, nobody move!
  Knuckles: Oh great, now what?
  Policeman: Don't try running away!
  Knuckles: (looks all fired up) Knuckles never runs from a fight!
  Policeman: Hey, easy pal!

• Amy: He's not coming with us? Why not?
  Sonic: That's Knuckles. He does things his way.

Japanese version

• Knuckles: (goes through an Exit door) So that's it? I'll teach it a lesson. (Amy comes through the elevator) Amy, you're slow!
