After the Others captured Jack Shephard, Sawyer and Kate, Aldo was part of the group of people working on the small island where the Hydra station was located. Because of the fact that pregnant woman couldn't survive on the island, Benjamin Linus did not like the fact that his daughter, Alex, had a relationship with a young guy named Karl. Fearful that Alex might fall pregnant, Ben had Karl locked up in a cage next to Sawyer, in order to keep him away from Alex. However, when Karl managed to escape from his cage and freed Sawyer as well, Ben decided to send Karl to room 23, which was used to brainwash people. Aldo was stationed outside the main entrance, where he guarded the place.
Aldo was surprised when Alex showed up with Kate and Sawyer one morning. She had them at gunpoint and told Aldo that they escaped and she had recaptured them. Unbeknownst to Aldo, Alex was in fact helping them escape, but wanted to rescue Karl first. They quickly overpowered Aldo and demanded to know where Karl was. He refused to tell them, but after Kate thretened to shoot him in the knee, he spilled the beans about room 23. Kate knocked him out and they rescued Karl.
Aldo was woken by Danny Pickett, who, along with Ivan and Jason, was determined to catch and kill Kate and Sawyer. Danny was furious with Aldo for getting conned and letting them get away. Juliet Burke appeared on the scene and informed them that Ben gave orders to let Kate and Sawyer go. Danny, however, refused to listen and went off looking for them.
