Happenings
We are introduced to Hana's family. First, her grandmother, who fought for the resistance against the Nazi's during World War II. She was captured and placed in a concentration camp, and survived. Next, you meet her mother, Zahava. She was one of the first female pilots in the IDF.
Hana's mother and grandmother were both killed in the first suicide attack in Israel. This prompted Hana to join the military. She tried to join the para-troopers, but was turned down due to her craving for revenge, which made her too unpredictable on the battlefield. She was, instead, sent to Military Intelligence, where she excelled, and was promoted rapidly. Hana kept her field training up by doing a patrol of the base in a non-hostile zone. One night, she spots an unauthorized man, but hesitates, wondering if she was following her orders to shoot on sight, or if she was firing out of revenge. The unauthorized man turns out to be Mr. Bennet, who says he is there to "Change her life."
