Hannibal — Season Three

Dolce is the sixth episode of the third season of Hannibal, and the thirty-second episode overall.

Plot Overview

With Bedelia securing her alibi, Hannibal prepares to leave Florence just as Jack and Will begin to track him down. With Pazzi murdered, Mason and his cohorts consider a different course of action. However, Chiyoh has arrived in Florence with her own agenda.

Happenings

• Chiyoh arrives in Florence and shoots Will before he can kill Hannibal, as she had expressed the desire to see him instead caged.

• Hannibal begins cutting into Will's head before they are suddenly in Mason's Muskrat Farm.

• Hannibal prepares to leave Florence without eating Bedelia, but in agreeing to tell whatever version of the story she wants to tell, she is again in his debt.

• Bedelia drugs herself to set up an alibi.

Bedelia: You may make a meal of me yet, Hannibal.

(they kiss)

Bedelia: But not today.

• Hannibal: (handing Will his knife) You dropped your forgiveness, Will. You forgive how God forgives. Would you have done it quickly or would you have stopped to gloat?

Will: Does God gloat?

Hannibal: Often.

• Jack: We were supposed to sit down together, at your house in Baltimore. Just the three of us.

Hannibal: You were to be the guest of honour.

Will: But the menu was all wrong.

Hannibal: Yes. It was. Jack was the first to suggest getting inside your head. (takes out circular saw) Now we both have the opportunity to chew quite literally... what we've only chewed figuratively.
